EmpowerAfriq Foundation was founded in 2023 by Ms Chantelle Manesa with a mission to empower African communities through skill development courses. Our journey began with a simple yet profound realization: that many Africans lack access to quality education and skills training, hindering their ability to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.
The Early Years
In our early years, we conducted extensive research to identify the most pressing needs of African communities. We engaged with local leaders, conducted surveys, and held focus groups to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by Africans. Our research revealed that many Africans lacked access to basic skills training, such as healthcare, business management, and digital literacy.
The Launch of Free Skill Development Courses
Armed with this knowledge, we launched our flagship program: free skill development courses for African communities. Our initial courses included healthcare, business management, and digital literacy. We partnered and collaborated with local organizations and experts to deliver high-quality training, and our programs quickly gained popularity. Amongst the organisations where AFROSAPIEN ENTERTAINMENT, GIGI MOBILE, BOLD MOVES AFRICA, SISTERS KEEPERS MOVEMENT, DYSLEXIA DYSLEXI, FNB FINANCIAL LITERACY AND MANY OTHERS.
